Orange County STOP DWI Program is a grant that provides funding for directed DWI patrol and checkpoints. The Town of Blooming Grove Police Department is an active participant in this program. All police officers of the department have received extensive training in DWI detection and enforcement.

The Blooming Grove Police Department has specially trained police officers who are certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Installers. By appointment, these officers will professionally install your child safety seat. During installation, these officers will provide the owner with safety tips and guidelines to ensure that your child is safe and comfortable.

Buckle Up NY

The Blooming Grove Police Department is a proud participant of Buckle Up New York/ "Click it or Ticket" Enforcement Mobilization. This high visibility, "zero tolerance" enforcement effort is intended to save lives by ensuring all motorists and their passengers are buckled up. Buckle Up New York aims to protect New York's children by enforcing all safety restraint laws pertaining to adults and children.

Prescription/ Unwanted Medications

In an effort to address the opioid epidemic afflicting our communities and do so by also helping our environment, The Town of Blooming Grove Police Department will continue to work with CVS Pharmacy in order to provide a drop-off site for medication disposal. The department will be accepting unwanted, unused and/or expired medications and will arrange to have those medications disposed of properly.
